The Limuru Highlands offer a diversity of educational, recreational, leisure, tourist,
spiritual, conferencing, sporting opportunities. There is never a dull moment and
visitors are spoilt for choice of individual, family, group, peer or inter-generational
activities. There are opportunities for activities like fishing, bird watching, biking trails,
nature walks, marathons, horse riding, camping and picnicking.
Limuru Highlands, is the home of the colobus monkey and their other relatives.
Tourism and agro-tourism initiatives within the Limuru Highlands are designed to leverage the area’s natural beauty, agricultural heritage, and proximity to Nairobi. The Trust promotes environmentally responsible tourism that supports local livelihoods while safeguarding land productivity, landscapes, and cultural heritage.
